چکیده

or low-fidelity prototypes are generally limited in function but only need limited prototyping effort. They usually do not require programming skills and coding. They are constructed to facilitate discussion of UI concepts and design alternatives, rather than to model the user interaction with a system. Low fidelity prototypes (see Figure 63, left) therefore mainly demonstrate the look, but rarely demonstrate the feel, of a UI. They will show design direction but will not provide details about how navigation is going to work or what interaction behaviour is like (Rudd et al. 1996). Table 55: Popular low-fidelity prototyping methods (Memmel et al. 2007f) Method Description Content inventories Simple lists inventorying the information of controls to be collected within a given interaction context Sticky notes Visual content inventories; incorporate position and spatial relationship between UI contents Wireframes Schematics outline the areas occupied by interface contents Paper prototypes, Paper mock-ups Rough sketches of the UID; for usability studies or quick reviews; rated as fastest method of rapid prototyping Storyboarding Sequence of paper prototypes, e.g. arranged with users A road map for prototyping? Lowand high-fidelity prototypes

Toward Specification-Oriented Frameworks

The software development process involves a costly verification, i.e., checking that the code implements the specification correctly. This study introduces the concept of specification-oriented frameworks, with the purpose of facilitating verification. A specification-oriented framework is a framework that enables direct translation of the specifications into high-level code, whose equivalence ...

User Interface Specification and Modeling in an Object Oriented Environment for Automatic Software Development

Nowadays, most of the research developed by industry and academy has led to several object-oriented methods highly adequate for the development of systems. But most of these methods do not include mechanisms (models) for identifying and specifying user needs and requirements us well us testing and vuliduting requirements with end-users before, during and after development. These considerations ...

Model-based Visual Software Specification

Collaborative corporate requirements engineering and system specification demands modelling approaches that all stakeholders can understand and apply. Using traditional methods, an IT organization often experiences frustrating communication and competency issues. Current processes lack adequate tool support for networked and complex projects. We present a tool-chain for model-based requirements...

ISAAP – Interactive Specification and Analysis of Aspiration-Based Preferences

Model based Decision Support Systems (DSS) often use multi-criteria optimization for selecting Pareto-optimal solutions. Such a selection is based on interactive specification of user preferences. This can be done by specification of aspiration and reservation levels for criteria. Diverse graphical user interface could be used for the specification of these levels as well as for the interpretat...
